Club Director Chris Jenson
Chris is currently a teacher at Elkhorn High School and serves as the head swim coach for the both the HS program and the recreational team during the summer. Chris will handle meet entries and general communication with the coaching staff. He will also work closely with all training group coaches to develop workout schedules. Coach Heather Schwab Heather, the founder of ACE, is starting her 10th year of coaching. In high school, she was a 4-time individual Nebraska State Champion, including a state record in the 100 breast. She was also a member of 2-time State Champion relays, one of which also held a state record. She competed at the junior and senior national level. Heather swam for Auburn University, home of 8 NCAA National Champion teams in the last 6 years. Heather graduated from Auburn with a BA in Psychology, earned her teaching certificate from Doane College, and teaches English at Fremont High School. Heather is also the head coach for the Fremont High School Swim Team. Coach Amber-Sky Tucker Coach Amber-Sky Tucker has been involved with the sport of swimming since the age of 14, swimming competitively for a few years in high school and training with the college swim team at the University of South Carolina. Amber-Sky has taught swim lessons locally since 2004 at the YMCA and Prairie Life Fitness Center. She has been actively involved in Midwestern Swimming as a stroke and turn official since 2005. She has coaching experience with the Oak Heights swim team in the 2005 and 2006 seasons and the Elkhorn Summer Swim team in summer 2007. These experiences have given her the opportunity to work with toddlers to high school students. She tops off this truly well-rounded involvement with the world of swimming by being an active Masters Swimmer since 2006. Coach Carrie Alvarez Carrie Alvarez will be starting her 8th year of coaching. She began coaching for the Omaha Parks and Recreation summer league, then later coached for Millard Aquatic Club. While in college at Northwest Missouri State University, she coached for the Maryville Sharks. Carrie did not learn how to swim competitively until age 14. By age 16 she qualified for state as a member of two relays, and returned her senior year to compete in two individual events. Carrie enjoys both swimming and teaching. Her teaching career began with swimming lessons, which she has taught for five years in total. She now teaches for Elkhorn Public Schools, beginning her third year at Manchester Elementary teaching third grade. No matter what else comes up in her life, swimming has always been something she goes back to, which makes her an ideal member of the ACE coaching staff!
